POSITION OVERVIEW

JBWS is seeking a full-time Finance Director with a strong background in non-profit finance and grant management and reporting to ensure stability and support of our mission. This leadership position requires strategic financial planning, effective budgeting, and knowledge of grant funder accounting. This position reports directly to the CFO/VP of Administration.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
- Financial analysis and reporting include monitoring of budget and grant expenditures.
- Preparation of monthly financial statements.
- Preparation of financial reports for state, county and grant funding sources.
- Preparation of schedules for annual audit and liaise with external auditors.
- Lead annual budget process and quarterly forecast, working with CFO/VP of Administration.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of grant expenditures and compliance and transparency.
- Supervise and mentor finance staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Active participation in agency events and activities as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS include but not limited to:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
- 10 years’ nonprofit financial management, accounting experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge in managing federal, state and local grants.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and reporting standards.
- Proven experience with budgeting, financial forecasting and grant management.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Proficient in MS excel, MIP and QuickBooks.
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
Flexible full-time hybrid schedule available in 4- or 5-day work week options

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
