Job Description:
 
As a Human Resources Manager you will;
  • Partner with office and Firm leadership to drive forth local and firmwide initiatives aimed at fostering an engaged and high-performing workforce
  • Manage onboarding processes and host new hire orientations for attorneys and staff
  • Lead attorney and staff departure processes to include conducting exit interviews for departing staff
  • Assess and manage employee relations issues by conducting internal investigations, leading corrective action processes, and providing termination recommendations
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local office leaders, offering coaching, guidance, and training support
  • Support firmwide performance management processes for attorneys and staff
  • Manage electronic and physical personnel files
  • Oversee the unemployment claim process by reviewing and responding to claims and representing the Firm at hearings as necessary
  • Assist employees with accommodation requests including leaves of absence, workers’ compensation, and those under the Americans with Disability Act (ADA)
  • Research federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, and compare internal policies and practices to ensure compliance
 
Job Specifications:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least five (5) years of related work experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyze data in order to make strategic and operational decisions
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to build relationships and influence the thinking of business partners
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Target Hiring Range $137,000 - $174,000
 

Please note that quoted salary ranges are not guarantees of what final salary offers may be. Base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. Base pay is only one part of the Total Rewards that MWE provides to compensate and recognize our staff professionals for their work. Full time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
