Position Summary

The Human Resource Manager will be responsible for the recruitment and hiring of all direct care staff, the development of a staff coaching and retention program and the oversight of all HR related policies and procedures.

The person in this role is required to work on site at our administrative offices in the Denver Tech Center (please note, this is not a remote/telework or hybrid role).

Responsibilities and DutiesGeneral HR responsibilities

  • Manage new staff recruitment, including posting jobs, reviewing applications, initial interviews, working with organization leadership for candidate selection.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and termination.
  • Update and maintain all employee documentation, such as handbooks, job descriptions, and performance evaluations.
  • Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, and hiring processes.

Staff Development

  • Lead and conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints, grievances, and workplace issues, ensuring timely and impartial resolution.
  • Manage all staff training scheduling and documentation. Assist with training delivery, as needed.
  • Schedule staff performance reviews and satisfaction surveys.
  • Establish and maintain positive employee relationships and interactions

Payroll and Benefits · Assist with payroll functions including new employee entry, payroll processing, and answering employee questions.· Manage benefits administration.

  • Manage all unemployment claims and worker’s compensation claims.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s or associate degree.
  • At least 2 years of HR generalist work experience with exposure to all HR functions
  • HRCI and/or SHRM HR certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience with full-cycle recruiting.
  • Proficiency in federal and Colorado state employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent professional interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to successfully prioritize tasks and pay attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn a human resource information system (HRIS) and similar computer applications.
  • Anticipate issues proactively and follow through on resolutions.
  • Displays a passion to learn and maintain knowledge of industry developments through professional development.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 per year
